Please can any members State side that are attending these races (John Evans ?, Fax ?) please try to pick up a event poster from the Aston Martin team in the paddock. So far I have them from Sebring 05, Le Mans 05, Petit and Laguna 05, Sebring 06 and would like to keep the collection going if possible.

Thanks
Regards
Chris

"The next round of the 2006 American Le Mans Series is the Lone Star Grand Prix, scheduled for 8 p.m. CDT on May 12 in Houston. It will be broadcast at 1 p.m. May 13 on CBS Sports, the first of five straight Series events on network television. Qualifying is set for 6:15 p.m. CDT on May 11. American Le Mans Radio will have live coverage at www.americanlemans.com, which also will have IMSA Live Timing & Scoring. "
Sounds like a good hangover cure for the after effects of the Planning meeting on the 12th Tongue

Dave Harper (and hopefully Matt) and myself will be at Mid-Ohio, I'll look for a poster for you Chris.  The Astons' should be right at home at Mid-Ohio, which was re-surfaced over the winter so lap times should tumble.

Hey Chris, will do my best for you.  Just hope those guys "show up" .   You know after the a** whipping for class win at Sebring, they may just decide to go back across the water.....

I'm just kidding guys.  They add so much to the race, I wish they would decide to run all ALMS races this season.  They are good for the race, the class, and even Corvette.  They definitely win on looks and stink on gut rumbling sound.  Nothing like a 'vette to rattle every cell in your body as they go by.

Would seem that they plan to get in as many racing miles as possible against the Vette's before Le Mans. And they certainly make Chevy work a bit harder for class honors.
Should be interesting how they fare, Houston is a street circut and Mid-Ohio is very similar to the Brands Hatch GP circut, so neither is much like the Sarthe.

You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

Does that mean they skip the LMS. I would be gutted.

They probably will not compete at the FIA GT meet at Silverstone the week before either then!!!

They had a one two last year and won the tourist trophy!

Thanks guys, just to clarify, its an Aston Martin poster that I am after and not an event poster. So far Aston have produced a different poster for each race and have been giving them out during the autograph session. I would prefer an unsigned one however.

I'll work on that for Houston.  Unsigned.  Also, I will try to get the driver cards for the Porsche Spyder drivers.

As it looks now, I'll be there too with a good number of team YFDS.

In other (bad) news, it looks like Enge will run the IRL race in Japan and the 500.
