Just spoken to Brittany ferries about Tuesday strikes. They are not in a position to say what will be running untill Tuesday morning. Last Tuesday the Pompey/Caen 2230 was the only one to get away, and if the strike goes ahead it is probable that all the daytime sailings will be scrapped, overnighters might run. They have teams contacting people who have booked by phone if ferries cancelled, and will know more at 9am Tuesday. I thought everything was going to smoothly this year!!!!!

Yeah thats what I mean.Do the morning ones get forst chance of the night one and then the night ones put off till the next day.Not sure how they could work it out.spose its not too bad if none of the ferries are full but at this time of year you can hardly get a pushbike on any of them. PM

The girl at Brit ferries said that if nothing went Tues, they would get everybody over on Wednesday, I pointed out that all the ferries were fairly fully booked, she said they would manage somehow.

Dont they normally hold the wagons back and get as many cars on as they can? Or is this just wishfull thinking.

Not sure as they make a lot of money from haulage, I'm on a bike , if they want to ditch a lifeboat and hang it from the davits thay's OK by me.
