For the first time in 15 years I have decided to get grandstand seats. I have a choice of either The Dunlop or Chinetti (15). I know you can see screens from each, I was wondering if any of you had used either and what you thought?

The Dunlop one is up by the revised chicane and some concern has been expessed that the new layout will have changed the view.

We only use our seats as a meeting pointing and at both start and finish, or if bad weather comes along and therefore prefer the start straight ones.

Thats pretty much what we intend to do. Looking at the new photos on the aco site, the view looks like it could be right on the money!

I must get out more.  Are there really stands at Chappelle and the Esses.

If you have good telephoto gear, I should think you could get some good photos, I think they are high enough to see over the fencing, but I've never been into them. Must see what they are like on qualifing sessions, should be able to get in free then.

I think they are temporary stand Del, only put up for the race weekend and then taken down again.

They were still building one of them on Wednesday qualifing last year.

Can remember walking by as they were being built, one of those builder type lifting things came to grab more of the grandstand, where the material was stacked there was a line of mopeds/scooters, over all they went.  Mr French Builder absolutely no worries or care.

Dunlop Grandstand on the inside was not put up until the Friday I remember filming from the tarmac on Thursday Qualifying.
