Martini and Chris 24 made it. Took 'em out for beer and wings last night and both seem ready for this weekend's ALMS action.
4 more arriving this afternoon - so a repeat performance in the I-Drive area seems on the cards....

Did you take them some place civilized or did you introduce them that good ole' American hole-in-the-wall, The Sho-Boat!  Personally I like the Boats charisma and lack of formality (and sometimes lack of running water)
but I suppose after you just got off a seven hour flight some decent brew & grub would be in order.

Any pics Matt?

Hi FS - hope you are feeling better.
No pix - my daughter nicked my digi-camera for a trip to Vegas.
No loss either - both Martin and Chris looked like dog sh*t last night - a combo of all day travel and too much Virgin Atlantic vodka.
Chris has left for the track - Martin's up for one more night in a comfy bed before he hits the bricks on Thursday.
Smokster, Steve, Rick and Doris are due in OIA mid afternoon - so we'll get together for a couple of light ales tonight.
Dave H gets in from Indy on Friday lunchtime - and Fax arrives from Cincinnati on Friday evening. The forecast looks great for the weekend and the Aston/Vette battle is back on!
Fax - I took 'em to The Fish on Fire at Lonesome Corner - they didn't look capable of enduring the Sho'Boat (Now renamed Beach Bound Pub - but still a cesspit)
Piglet - sorry if this comes-over as rubbing-it-in - that's not the intention - a lot of folks have asked how it's going. Get your curvy butt over here next year - it's the best event this side of le Mans

Jesus - is it this weekend?  Thanks for reminding me Matt! Wink

It was 70 degrees here a couple of days ago, and we're meant to get snow on Friday as I head out the door.

Thrashing around in your bass boat on Lake Conway both Friday pm and ALL DAY Sunday and ripping out Largies are particular highlights for me this year.  Oh, I guess the noisy business on Saturday too, now you come to think about it.

You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

Matt, sort this a.s.a.p. There's no way we're gonna let you go this easy.

No problem  Grin  the guys over here have hardly mentioned they were going!!

I'm going to Brands Hatch on Sunday for a clubbie day - really I wouldn't have wanted to be in Sebring anyway!!  Grin

We're hoping to make it next year as a belated honeymoon after an early Feb wedding - finance and holiday permitting (the wedding is happening without finance and holiday - it'll be the honeymoon that might be a problem!!!)

Lets see the pics and Doris should have an inch and a half by now, but we need evidence in case it was a syrup.

Have the Astons stopped sandbagging yet?

Four more happy travellers arrived yesterday afternoon. Steve Brown had a little incident with the US Immigration authorities, who were curious to establish why he spent so much time in Egypt. He eventually persuaded them that he was a rubber fetishist and not an insurgent and they let him in.
So, Steve, Jeff, Rick, Doris and Martini accompanied me to a local bar/restaurant, where we knocked down a couple of pitchers and had a bite to eat. They left O'town this morning and should be at the circuit by now. Hopefully they'll secure a parking space for us occupy on Saturday morning.
Weather picture perfect - and cars out on the track now. The 2006 season is under way!
