Randy,
Off the top of my head, the Martini colors have been carried on World Championship for Makes 917's & 908's in the early seventies by what was originally known as Salzburg Racing, later on the factory Porsche 911, 935 & 936 Group 5 & 6 cars of the mid-late seventies.  Team Lotus carried the Martini stripes for one season in F1 in 1979. And the brief Techno F1 program carried it in 1972 & '73. Lancia's Group 5,6,C and WRC cars all carried Martini sponsorship through the eighties.

This was one of my favourites of the day. I followed the whole four/five days of the RAC rally when this made it's debut. It being our home event, really I was rooting for the Pond/Authur Metro 6R4 and that of a certain M Wilson, but was mightily impressed by the new Lancia.

With a few pals, I was a regular sector marshall during the eighties on some of the top Rallies (AudiSport, RAC etc) and a few of the drivers of the day got to vaguely recognise us. Another time I'll tell you all what Stig B said to us after we had picked ourselves out of a muddy Welsh ditch...

SMACK!

Sebring '96. Southerland hit the concrete base at the walkover bridge heading
down into the hairpin, snapped the Gearbox and rear suspension right off the Courage.

The driver stood up, walked over to the Aarmco, climbed over, looked back at the car
and dropped like a sack of potatoes.
