If $$$$'s are no object, this is the way to do it......but you know, you would loose out on fast driving over cobblestone streets in a more than loaded VW with Giles, dinner with the CA gang at Le Flambleau, camping with Brian, Jimmy, Ian, and Chris, no catching the TGV in Paris with RedStu, no tropicoma or watching porn with JP and the guys, no midnight political discussions with Andy Zarse, no hanging out with Steve talking about Corbras (British or American car?), no concert provided by the Racing for Holland crew, no helping with the beer mountain project, and no ride back to the train station with Big H. There are just too many important memories left out of this trip. Those who take this one will never know what they really missed out on. Just wish I could do it again. Maybe next year. http://www.fastlanetravel.com/site/html/2006_trips/2006_lemans.htm

And they got it wrong too. The race starts at 17:00 this time not at 16:00.

Sod all that John, if I had £5000 to spend I'd go for that trip without a hesitation. Who wants to spend a week in a field with a load of smelly men?

Also, they are going to get one hell of a shock when they turn up at Bloxham and find a small industrial estate where the old Jaguar XJ220/Aston Martin DB7 factory used to be!

The thing I cannot believe is that the organization actually recommends going back to their chateau at 10.30 pm to have a good nights sleep in their barroq rooms? ?? Is there somewhere I can puke??

Bloxham. Have they really shut the DB7 factory. There used to be a suberb Hook Norton pub in Bloxham.
Anyway, the single room supplement is over a grand. I'll get change out of half of that. I'll start with a delightful tour of the Surrey and Kent countryside (M4/25/20), a P&O cruise to Calais, stay in one of the top hotels on the Rouen Bypass, down the famous N138, staying in Chateau d'Bailey Caravan (with full en-suite, mini bar, large patio area, pool etc), full English breakfast every morning, tours of the circuit by goped with a traditional "all you can eat and drink" Maison Blanche barbecue in the evening, Club Arnage T-shirt, seats in the Jaguar Grandstand AND no single supplement.

I like this one: On Friday, June 16th 2006, they "will drive our motor coach on the track, so that you can better understand what these drivers are facing for 24 hours." WTF?? They are going to drive a round with a motor coach the day prior to race?? They'll prolly drive on the public road parts of the track, which are open for any dumb ass with a car at that time

It sounds like the well constructed marketing-speak of an estate agent.

It doesn't sound very good in English. Is it any better in American (or Dutch)? I'm sorry , but for 5 grand I'd expect more than a bus trip to Carrefour. Roll up, Roll up. Conducted tour of the Maison Blanche and Houx Annexe campsites, meet and drink with all the celebrities. Only $500 or $600 with Tropicoma (we're all on a percentage here lads)

They seem to have missed out a number of events in their itinery.
Not a mention of lawn mowing on BSJ. No memtion of CD Microwave cookery.
Who's going to drop them a line and invite them to the Poo bar? t.
