You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

Is anyone from the Dutch contingent planning to go to the Interclassics & Topmobiel fair at Maastricht this coming weekend ?

We actually are in Maastricht on Friday morning to go to Germany to check out the bar trailer.
Thanks for the tip! Might be nice to have a quick look! Cool

I don't think I will be going, unless you can recommend it. Have you ever been there. I live in Maastricht, so if it is worth it, I will check it out en can provide pics for people who are interested.

Did I miss this - just the one truck, but towing your own bar?

Nice one Paddy, very professional.   Cheesy

The Interclassics is nothing heart stopping but an afternoon spent nicely. Here's their web site: http://www.ic-tm.com/index.php

All you Dutch guys should be at home this weekend watching the World Darts from Frimley. I'm not a huge Barney fan, but was disappointed for Co Stompe going out in the first round. Again!

I am not a big Barney fan myself, but was absolutely impressed with that new young Dutch guy, Jelle Klaassen. Good old Merv was nowhere to be found! Also enjoyed Wolffie tonight and another good performance buy one of my favourite players: Tony 'Silverback'O Shea.

And as to the everlasting Stompe story, he cannot cope on big stages, nervous for no reason.

Knetter, nice to know there's other fans out there. I hate Mervyn King, he's a cheating sod.

Remember a couple of years ago he was losing to some kid and he asked for the oche to be measured to put the kid off. It worked and King won the match but made no friends in the process. Bobby George went mad and in a five minute tirade on the telly told Merv he was "diabolical, aht of order son" etc. So when Jelle beat him I was cheering all the way. That lad is sheer Klaass...

Yeah, remember that one, it also was against a Dutch bloke if I am not mistaken. He was on the same team as Barney back then, but because of his behavior they kicked him of that pro-team. But I think he learned his lesson and is now actually behaving quitte decent!

To bad some of the big names are nolonger in the tournament, always enjoy watching Andy Fordham and Ted Hankey ( although he is very strange). Never understood the deal with the BDC though, is that the superior or inferior competition in England? Maybe you know, we don't get to see much of that league overhere, except for the purfleet tournament.

Colin Monk (local guy to me) has done well at Lakeside for the last few years. He went to Purfleet this year and was knocked out in the first round. My understanding (but I could well be wrong) is that the PDC broke away from the BDO because of some arguement about monies. Certainly from the standard of darts I've seen (which is by no means all of it) the PDC tournament at the Circus Tavern has been a higher standard.

It would be interesting to try to get the winner from Lakeside to take on "The Power" as an undisputed World Champion
