I think it was Ettore Bugatti who referred to the Bentleys as the "fastest lorries ever made", and if you compare a Speed Six to a Type 35 you can see what he means. But then how often did a Bugatti win Le Mans? Is this an omen of good fortune?
Bugatti blew it, of course, with the Royale, which was far bigger than any Bentley.
