It's that time of year when the focus of life turns to the family & Cristmas.....bleurgh bah humbug.

I know I have to suffer it all & even be polite to the outlaws so that I don't get too may comments regarding the annual pilgrimage. What is the most outrageous thing you lot have to do to earn a weekend ( well OK maybe a week long) pass?

Be obnoxious for the year round and they are glad to see the back of you.  Wink

Works for me..Smiley

I thought LM 2006 might be in joepardy as daughter is 21 on 18 June. Told her to have the "do" another weekend and she simply accepted it...

In 2005 I've managed 10 days at Sebring, long weekend at Spa, long w/e @ Le Mans pre-q (took Mrs to keep her sweet), a week at Le Mans and a long weekend at the Nurburgring, plus some other short trips away...incl the fantastic weekend at the CA Track Day...

One year I had to buy some flowers, pretty outrageous if you ask me.

 Forget the Brownie points.
Just tell her she can keep the brownie points and she can use them while your away in Le Sathe.

Le Mans is not the problem. A full week of Le Mans AND nearly the complete series of LMES, plus an A1GP-race, plus several DfH-meetings and off course the year-long preparation for the next Le Mans make it all a little difficult to sell at home. Well, it does sometimes....

Why don't you bring her along for her birthday.

I also think mines glad to see the back off me. Just spent 17 nights away putting xmas decorations up again. She always thinks I'm a miserable c**t when I tell her to f**k off when she asks me to put the xmas tree up.

Anyway send her on a couple of these cheap flight weekends with her mates. Thats always a good one for the holiday bank.

You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

I wouldn't want the parental resposibility of taking care of a 21 year old daughter at the poo bar with dozens of drunken CAers in attendence

You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

Smokie - probably accepted it a bit too readily on the basis that a) she'll get a "do" on another weekend and guess where another "do" will be on 18 June when you're not there......

In general terms, I am just v. fortunate in having a missus that lets me go motor racing and knows how much going to Le Mans means to me (and how much of a PITA I get if I don't get to go - once was enough! Grin Grin)
