This is the going rate for this lot.  Mention a trailer or caravan and the figures get silly.  Mention a motorhome and its a joke.  Oh god we've got a motorhome and trailer

Norfolkline - Dover to Dunkerque (it's only 10 minutes from Calais at racing speed), still show a price of £19 each way if booked during October for Tuesday til Monday.

BUT - you have to travel after 11pm Embarrassed

Used Norfolkline last year for car + caravan. Food is good & cheap. Boats are good.  Crossing is cheap & slow. Dunkirk was a nightmare on the return journey - no good signposts.

Overall, I' d use them again but not in a hurry.

I don't really understand what's going on with the prices from Channel Tunnel. Few week ago I did a weekend return by van for E42,-. Now I'm trying to book LMES Donnington, no cheaper than E 187,- Huh Sad

If your save Tesco Club Card points then use them to pay for you eurotunnel crossing. They are worth 4 x the face value, ie £10 of vouchers is worth £40 in crossing vouchers.

Paddy, now you know why we make all the fuss about the ferry (same with air fares to Sebring!).  You can pay anywhere £30 and £600 for the same trip.  Double that if you've got a caravan.

And you're lucky, because we know that they charge the continentials less.

Ita a game you have to play (to win).  Sea France the other way is £60.  The website won't book the other way, and eventually I broke into the French side, and they're not giving prices for August!

All part of the game.  Good luck, and as they say in Latin - Nil illegitimi carborundum (don't let the bastards grind you down)
