This international sporting event, now in its 20th year, takes place in the dense Waen Rhydd Peat bog. Competitors have to complete two lengths of a 60-yard trench cut through the peat bog in the quickest time possible, wearing snorkels and flippers, but without using conventional swimming strokes!

Mud is to be gloriously celebrated at the National Wetlands Centre Wales.
