When in Edinburgh attend the grassmarket, there are some quality pubs down that way.

Highly recommend the grass market, have a lot of good memories, i think, of drinking to the small hours.  The fish and chip shops are good as well, try the deep fried mars bar not to be missed as a dare after a few largers Grin

Go to the scotsh whisky heritage center near the castle at the top of the royal mile. 20 pound stirling for a taste of 5 whisky's and a tour of the facility. Also great whisky shop, I could not help myself and bought 3 liters in total. Finished now, so have to go back soon.

See if there is some Caileeh's around (don't know if I spelled that OK), dancing with the locals and above all, drinking lots of lager.

Very nice city, lots of things to see, have a blast
