What size were the front wheels on the 1970s Ferraris and Matras ? Compared to modern cars, they were tiny. I know they wanted as small a frontal area as possible, but didn't the tyres overheat ?

Lots of cars spring to mind that finished with less than the number they started with!
Not sure if anyone has ever gone with 6 wheels but never with only 3!!
