In this weeks Autosport there is news of two special engines that Honda will using with BAR at the Japenese and Chinese GP's.  The story reports that for the final GP in China a one shot 1000HP could be on the offing.  Hope Michelin can produce the tyres to take the power loadings through some of the complex turns.

Seems strange to me, if you change engine between Q and the race you go back 10 places Huh why bother.

Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better.

according to the article the units will be ready for the Brazilian GP.  that should be the "Japenese GP Special"  leaving the Chinese GP available for a new engine.  Assuming no blow ups.

The article goes on to say that Honda are developing the engine as a commeration of the end of the V10 use in F1.

Not sure how much more powerful this is over current top runners?  I thought they were well over 900BHP already and that is on a two race unit. So a loft to 1000BHP for one race should not be to difficult?
