Oh heck, do I agree with Bob! Please don't write this sort of stuff, it takes some of us hours to find out whether it was worth reading...

I probably agree with you, but I am not sure... Huh

Well played Bob/Bill for your gentle coaching of the young Donny. As I attempted to read the post, my dander was rising. You guys handled it better than I would have...
Donny, the written language is a powerful, persuasive, emotional and versatile tool, that you clearly have some command of. I translated your text message bullshit and think you make a valid point.
Use your creativity to make your opinions known, rather than figure out a smart-assed way to shorten words.

Just name me 1 driver who would WANT to drive with Minardi and pay a  lot for it....

To bad for you that it's a Dutch driver who is willing to, but had you've been watching F1 a bit closer this year, you could have seen that he is not that bad at all. Maybe you should do some reading up about him, before you start bitching about him.

This film should be played at high volume, so don't come complaining about it! And who the hell is Steve?

a bit lame too - i dont really care for F1 either, its dull and no visual racing to be seen a la MotoGP/WSB  - but I do realise that to run a team requires money.  This has to come from sponsrship or when this is insufficient, from the drivers.  No money = no team.

Donny's posted on here many times and I don't remember him using crappy TXT SPK before. Whilst I admire his committment to putting proper racing drivers in F1, and I'm sure Oliver Gavin for example could have done a good job, it completely ignors the harsh economic facts: No money = no racing.

And anyway, so what? Minardi's rarely finish and if they do, they usually come last. Does it really matter by how much the losing margin is?

Drivers like Webber & Alonso both used Minardi as a stepping stone onto a better drives. The current crop are hoping to be spotted and picked up by a bigger and better team, like Jordan.

ok sorry for using the stupid text to write a comment,i agree with you making the point, no money no f1 drive, its just that it bugs me,as  you may have gathered from my earlyier posts i am all for getting as many brits in f1 as possible, they are the ones i have watched during my short motoracing days growing up,and i just see it as wasted talent when they dont make f1,especially gavin who is proberly my favourite of them.allthough i do like sportscars better than f1,i respect your comments i suppose i was just looking for someone to agree with me.my dad thinks im wrong he tells me davies is the better of the 3,i reckon its just because of his mega lemans drive in 04 and his f3000 days that he thinks that, although it is impressive i still favour gavin. ps, sorry dutch guys

Agree with you Donny about Ollie, how F1 managed to miss him is beyond me, especially when you see no hopers like Alex Yoong and this Indian kid thats out there now.
Daddy's money will get you into F1 a hell of alot faster than talent will.

davies deserves to be there aswell though wouldnt u say, ive watched many of the races where he and olly were team mates in f3000 and davies allways wud out qualify him and usually beat him aswell, this did bug me as i like olly, although davies is a good lad like olly, i think i shouldnt grumble too much, both deserve better things, although saying that both are doing very well in sportscars olly has now one the gts at lemans 3 times ,jamie the lmes champ and a winner at lemans in gts so i shouldnt really say wasted talent really should i.

Well said Donny, F1's loss is sportscar racing's gain.  We have good fun watching Oliver ply his trade over here, makes a yellow Vette go like stink!  Jaime deserved a crack at F1 too.  Don't feel too sorry them though, they're making a pretty good living as it is.
