Would you consider having the McQueen 2 fingers image as a back print on the 2006 T-shirt? I'm sure I could get permission from Chad McQueen (son of steve) and Nigel Snowden (photographer).

I'll throw in another spanner!!

I will have 10 shirts WITHOUT the logos on the back.  No disrespect to any of the 'teams', but as Mark says, things are getting out of hand and the shirt is going to look very messy.

If we could just have the two-fingured salute, it would suit me.

If we can't have shirts without all the logos, I don't want any - we'll do our own thing.

By all means pull our name off the shirt if you are having space issues, i understand that we are the newbies.

Ditto.  There will only be 4 Team YFDS respresentatives there, so it certainly seems unfair to limit the logo size of the bigger crews that make it every year.

Bob, Andy, Chop

I hope I haven't offeneded or upset anyone with my post. It certainly wasn't intended that way.

There are many "groups" included above that consist of only one or two people, let alone 4. Obviously some groups are bigger, but certainly not all.

Some have posted in the past but are no longer active. Some always do their own shirts so don't buy CA ones. Others are regulars on the Maison Blanche campsite but don't contribute to the forum. There are also many regulars on the forum, who also buy t-shirts, but don't have a group name.

My own group, Team JPC, was 26 strong last year. This year we are going to be between 14 and 20. 4 of us are regular posters on the forum and a couple of others lurk. But I think we only bought 6 t-shirts last year as we also do our own team shirts. In 2004. Steve Brown's group, The East Anglian Cobras bought 20 shirts, and he is the only regular from his group on the forum. Rhino Racing are only two people, but they both post regularly and both buy the shirts.

I would say that if you are posting on the forum and intend to buy shirts then you should have a valid call for inclusion, subject to space, however if you haven't bought them in the past and don't intend to buy any shirts this year (and I'm sure there's a few groups named who don't) then I don't think they should be included. I think it's interesting that people like yourselves, who do read the forum regularly and post and I would assume intend to buy shirts have responded, and yet the the groups I particularly referred to in my original message haven't (mainly because they don't frequent the forum regularly, if at all, and never buy shirts)

No offence taken,

We also produce our own polo shirts each year. We normaly have about 10 in our group, like all groups it goes up and down each year due to commitments etc. and there is only 4 of us this year. We are also one of those groups that prefer our creature comforts and stay in the city centre, so don't get to see much of the antics on the various camp sites. We are planning making the "poo" bar event this year where ever it may be and meeting up with some of you all to put faces to names.

You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

No offence taken Mark. The rest of my bunch take no active part in CA and as far as I know have never even logged on as a lurker. I left them to do their own thing while I went off to the poo bar last year. To be honest all apart from one of them (who drives up from Southern Spain every year) only see Le Mans as a weekend piss up away from the wife. I have had some great times at various CA planning meetings and have met some wonderful people at these and at different races so will continue to buy the shirt  wether our group name  is on it or not.

I'm considering not going to the race now.  Cry

I'd considered this potential problem before, and hesitated e-mailing the artwork for exactly that reason.  I wasn't going to mention anything about it until someone confirmed my suspicions that space would eventually become an issue.  I still intend to buy a shirt or three, as the inclusion of our logo was never a make-or-break deal.

Not a problem, Sir!

Cheers!

Ditto what's been said already......there are only around 6 of us. a couple of them lurk but mainly they don't particpate.  I could probably flog six or so shirts if I tried hard as we also have our own team shirts.

I guess the point is we are already "team" club arnage so do we need anything more personalised?

Robbo, if the new 2006 shirt has the McQueen image on it I will have at least one and maybe another.

No need IMO for other images, that would be a big enough change style-wise I think.

Very good point, the 'club arnage' bit is the important part. .

It would be great to feature the names of the groups that do go, but at the end of the day it's not that important if we cant put them on. Lets see what paddy comes up with before we decide.

I have 10 in my group this year, 2 others post on this site from time to time. I don't now how many would be interested in CA T shirts but I guess it would be about 5, it's hard enough getting the money for the tickets out of them before xmas.

I also like the idea to put the Mc Queen image on the back instead of the team names. But will go with the flow if team names are what people would like. This is however a forum t-shirt and in that aspect I think people who post here will get one or two anyway. I don't think that we will get more then 10 shirts in our group of 35, simply because the people who wan't one also post here.

Teams will have their own shirts anyway, so as far as I am concerned you can skip the team names paddy, we can put them on our truck again! payed in beer ofcourse. Grin

To be honest I quite like the idea of Steve on the back as well! Tongue

But here's the shirt anyway, just written words though. It might all get a little too detailed with logo's added Undecided
