I'll be logging off on Monday (18th) for a couple of months as me and Mrs Delboy II are going househunting in sunny France, starting off in the Limousin.

Got the caravan rigged up for satellite TV, so hopefully won't miss any LMES or ALMS action.

Best of luck to all who are attending any of these events and hope the weather holds out - for your sake as well as mine.

I hope to have a quick lurk here occasionally if I can find an internet cafe (or similar.

All the best to everyone.

I'm tempted to say jammy git, but I know you've been looking forward to this for years! How nice it would be to get away from the horrors of Blair's New Model Britain.

Good Luck Del. My parents did the same and found the most beautiful place at Jumelles in Maine et Loire - close enough to Le Mans (70km south east) to make it very convenient. There are some very attractive villages in the area and the convenience of Saumur and Angers - and a smattering of expats (though maybe you are trying to escape that aspect!). Well worth checking out.
Happy Trails!!

Del - you know I'm envious.

Look forward to hearing all about the new place next year, if not before!

I shall be at La Sarthe next year come what may.  Can't let you youngsters overtake me in total number of visits.

Correct Matt - I want to live like the French do, like it used to be here 50 years ago.

I like the Loire valley, I know Saumur quite well.  However, one of my mates at LM this year said I should be looking around Le Mans area - told him that I wanted to go further south where it was a bit warmer! (where's the 'tongue-in-cheek' smiley?).

Thanks to all for the good wishes.

You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

 Kiss Kiss Kiss

good look on your quest. It is easy as long as you get with the laid back way of life.

I am near to St Malo if you get fed up with the caravan and need a bit of advice re technical stuff.
