The word on the street is that there's a chance Champ Car will run at Sebring the same weekend as the 12 hours.  Either Friday (unlikely), or Sunday.  That makes a great thing even greater in this guy's book, especially considering a possible 5 days of raceycars is only $80!

Now you didn't hear that from me, because I'm not one to gossip.   Lips Sealed

See you there!

Wicked! I once missed the CART racing at Brisbane Australia by a matter of hours and always wanted to see how it compares. Looks like I'll be in FL again next March.

I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

That would be most excellent.
Makes sense too because most of the CART teams test quite a bit at Sebring over the winter.  Reason number 1,000,001 to go to the twelve hours.

This would be awesome!  When CCWS tests there, they only run the short course.  I don't believe they run the Fangio Chicane, down to Turn 10.  That will be a spectacle!

I would like to see them run on Friday

I reckon they'd be great on a big enough circuit.  The race on the Brands Indy circuit the other year was rubbish - they were tiptoing round the whole time  Roll Eyes

People, I think you are missing one major fact here though.

Bringing Champ car back to Sebring will no doubt mean that they will have to put up big mesh fences at the track. I for one don't want to see that happen as it would kill off what i love about the place. Think about it, photography would be sh*t at Sebring forever more !

If they agree to run without the fences though, then I am all up for it !

Smokie or anyone else interested, I just checked out the Bike Week 2006 official home page and much to our luck the official dates for Bike Week 2006 are  March 3-12. Looks like we can kill 2 stones with one bird again this year  Grin

George, I thought we'd decided to go to the Keys for 2006 and be surrounded by babes in bikinis  Tongue not grubby bikers  Undecided !!?

Although for anyone who hasn't been to a Bike Week, it is a lot of fun...

Did I say I was in Sebring in March?  Grin Grin
