It would appear that, following the Server outrage, the original thread has shuffled off this mortal coil.

So.....

When ?
Where ?

etc ............

Thursdays and Fridays are best for me, but would endevour to make any date.

I guess this week is too short on notice, but from next week on.

Could I suggest Friday 22nd ? but open to alternatives.

Can I come (if I can find anybody)

Where? The Argyll is a dump, but it has to be somewhere central

Weekend of the 22 is busy for me. How about the next one. We can call it a Le Mans de-brief and a Silverstone Planning meeting then!!

A few options on the boozer .
The White horse in Newburgh street just down the road from The Argyll is OK and has plenty of outside space. We use the Lamb and Flag in Covent Garden for exactly the same reason. The Old Coffee House in Beak Street is another fav. Midas Touch in Golden square again has outside space, a bit poncey but has crumpet from Virgin Radio and the ad agencies in the square.
I can't do the 22nd either.

Rusty I am in awe of your knowledge of drinking establishments in London and elsewhere. I read a book of top 10 places to have a pint in London and the Lamb was right at the top.

Hi Phil,
The Lamb is quality, it is tucked away down a narrow cobbled street.
I've used it for many years now on and off.
A very nice touch they used to have was all the hard core regulars had a small brass name plaque on the bar. These have been moved since a refurb ( not for the better I may add ) and now adorn the top rail of the bar. My pal Hinch's dog 'Welly' even had his own plaque where the staff used to feed him sausages. He also got priority of service over the customers.

Is that it then, 29th, settled?

Earlyish start I pressume, as it's a Friday. What time will the London based contingent be there from?

Us carrot crunchers, coming in from the sticks, will be slighly later I guess. However, as I get every other Friday off, I'll be alright for early doors Grin.

Looking forward to putting a few faces to names.
