Yes I noticed that too. Mind you there were several Union Flags being flown upside down in the Campsites. But I supose they may well have been in distress. :-)

The cross of St Andrew is above that of St Patrick at the hoist because the cross was added to the flag before St Patrick's cross, therefore the cross of St Andrew is entitled to the higher position Sounds logic to me  |

The Union Flag has been upside down above the pits since atleast 1998 when I first spotted it.
Thanks DelBoy for saying flag and not Jack as it is only a union Jack when flown on a Navy ship or queens appointed residence/office or government building
