I managed to get hold of the 10 day forecast from the fleet oceanagraphic service. The forecast is for high pressure to build and dominate from the 10th over southern Britain and mid France. How accurate this is we shall have to see but it sounds promising. Grin Cool Cool

Don't believe any of these lying bastards. They have no more idea than Soft Mick.

I went to New Zealand to watch the England - NZ test match in Christchurch last year. A great match, England hit 546 and NZ need to get 231 of the last 34 overs.... Sorry I digress!

Anyway just before I left I checked weather.com and several other sites. They all said it was going to be about 45-50F and windy, far too bloody cold to sit around watching cricket all day. So I took an extra thick skiing jacket, quilted trousers and walking boots.

Didn't I look like a right arsehole in Christchurch airport, dressed up like Nanuke of the North in 85F heat everyone else wearing flipflops, shorts and teeshirts.

And don't forget they all balls it up in 2001.

Never mind forcasting, they can't even get right what's already happened. Mrs GeeBee was with me in Denmarkland last week and the weather was red hot all week. Got back to the UK and Saturday mornings paper said that Copenhagen had been 65 degrees and cloudy on Friday. Boll**ks!

I think the only accurate forecast that can be made is:
1. There is a race
2. We will be drunk

Cheers

www.weather.com predicts 70s + all week, getting warmer to Friday, low to zero chance of any rain.

I think Werner is more likely to be right though.

It appears, courtesy to local unofficial meteorologists, that it won't be the same weather as in 2001.

we could have a little rain during the week, probably no more than one or one and half hour each time, but in average, it gonna be a hot edition, or more understandable a drinking weather !  Cool

Every year I work myself in to a nervous state of paranoia, all based around what the weather will be.  I don't know as I don't mind the wet as I am well prepared for it, but a sunny race does seem to make for a better weekend.  Now the paranoia mounts as the weather channel ( http://uk.weather.com/weather/local/FRXX0048 ) is now forecasting thunderstorms on Thursday while accuweather ( http://www.accuweather.com/adcbin/public/int_8to15day_local.asp?metric=1 ) doesn't.

Arrrgh!!!!

Still at least I might be a jnr member before I go.  Insert your own knob joke
