Did all or any of the planned events actually happen and did ideas work. I'm talking of :-

The Beermountain 1664 Chopper Squadron Display.
JPC's poker night.
Amarillo round the camp sites.
The cricket match.
The inner tube shower contraption.
Magical beer cooling methods.
Gilles's dispossible fridges.

I completely missed the apex this year and didn't managae to do anything I had planned on doing. A trip to the supermarket to get water/milk/bread etc saw a car return with full optics, roast dinners, a suit and a Neil Diamond CD.

Best laid plans, and all.

The chopper display definately happened as they were talking about it on Radio Lemans, i think they were wanting a repeat in the village. They also had Mr Toad on the phone on the call in after the race.

Well, we did manage to put our scaffold up, we managed to drink almost all of our beer, and I did see people playing poker Thursdaynight at JPC's. Smiley

This film should be played at high volume, so don't come complaining about it! And who the hell is Steve?

Yes the inner tube shower contraption happened, worked fairly well, being nice and warm in the afternoon. It was a bit chilly in the morning before the sun had chance to warm it. At 41 deg the long long hose pipe of sps's got supprisingly hot and lasted a good while which ment we didnt need to bother hooking up the drill and electrics. For next year will try and rig a water proof motor to the pump to make life easier and safer.
Choppers were mightly impressive on MB, didnt make the Poker night but there was definatly walking proof of the effects of tropicoma on Friday.

And we did manage to get a LADS to Le Mans sticker on the front of the number 3 Audi. There is a piccie somewhere to prove it.

The generator (as transported to LM for us by JPC) and the Carrefour purchased freezer certainly provided us with cold beer.

Another bonus was the (not working) discarded fridge freezer right by where we camped that made an excellant ice chest when laid on it's side.

The football game of the SPS Crew and Team Zarce didnt happen.

Way to hot to even think about moving from the beer cooler and pool.

Maybe next year ?

As you say Robbo, it never happened cos it was sooo hot. Anyhows, there were only five Zarses this year and two had prolapsed discs, one had something black on his head which meant he couldn't see nowt and of the other two, one supports Wolves and one supports Charlton. It would have been pointless. So maybe next year?
