Next year, I would like a press pass though - even if its just for a couple of hours during practice.....Anyone???
I cannot vouch for this method, but somebody has told me they approached their local free newspaper, and offered to "cover" the race for them and supply pictures. He then claimed they got him a press pass As I say, I cannot vouch for the authenticity, and it seems a bit far fetched, but it may be worth a try for the sake of a letter or phone call.

Great stuff? Did you have credentials as a photographer? Or how - and from where - did you manage to take pictures without the safety fence before your lense?
No credentials other than an A-Level in Photography now some 5 years out of date, before Digital was an affordable method. The single post pics were taken from aloft a scaffolding set on the exit to the porsche curves - the multiple pics from mulsanne corner. I had REAL trouble this year - it seems that the circuit place safety fences everywhere that you MIGHT be able to get a shot.......some of them are totally uneccesary and sometimes the only option is a bit of climbing and contortionism..... im not the most flexble person however so i did struggle a little! It can be done however and I am quite happy with some of my shots....just wish I could get my press pass!!

I've got some great pictures, but none of the cars!! (Nudge, nudge - nod's as good as wink to a blind bat!). Someone on CA is going to pay me large sums of money not to send the images to their home. You know who you are Wot a top weekend, best race in years I think. ..... All four classes undecided until the penultimate hour. Crackin stuff. Lost my memory card in the pitlane during the scrum but found it trampled (but working!!!) 10 minutes later!! Talk about a needle in a haystack!!!

PS : Can anybody arrange 2 press-accreditations for next year, we would like to be in front of those f****** fences ...
Don't talk to me about fences, I have some that look great on the digital display but look awful when I got them home....
