11:00am Friday I will be paying my respects to a Royal Canadian Airforce Crew at the memorial nera Arnage Corner. anyone interested in joining in meet at the
Arnage corner ticket office 10:45am.

Good on ya Phil. About the same time we'll probably be stopping to pay our respects to my great grandfather who died in WW1 and is buried just outside Rouen.
I feel it's particularly important as the number of WW1 & 2 vetrans dwindle that we re-assure them that in our comfortable and leisure focussed lives their sacrifice and those of their fallen comrades won't be forgotten.

Phil - My Father was training in the Royal Canadian Airforce at the end of WW2...
I will think of you at this time, but on a happy note it's also the same time our chopper sqaudron takes off from MB...we'll have a toast in respect of real pilots before we set off!

We got a Canadian LM virgin with us this year Phil. He is originaly from Yellowknife and moved to the UK via Germany 10 years ago while in the R.C.A.F . Come over to HA have a few beers and say hello we will be flying a maple leaf windsock. We are not getting there until Friday morning so he won't be able to join you at the memorial

Chop and the the boys always pay respects at Vimy, previously at Falais.
You guys have always taken a hard hit.
We'll be be wearing our respect this year for a far younger casualty.

Nice snetement there Sprite II. I look forward to meeting you Rhino. Thanks Rusty they are all worthy of our respect. Ian I am told it is difficult to find without a sober guide. Leave the Arnage ticket booth on your left
walk/drive a few hundred metres and look for a faded sign in the hedge on your left at what looks like a dirt driveway turn left and follow this track until the memorial comes into view.
Mr Toad sorry out times coincide. I wanted to pick a time that most of us are up by as I am sure did you and also have to get into town later for the Parade.
Bob I will try but have yeet to find HA.

Did anyone get a photo showing the attendees? i have some of the stone it's self but none showing the people.

Sorry Phil but i didn't have my camera with me. I will check with Rhino and the others to see if they took any pictures.
Cycling back from mulsanne corner early saturday evening me and a couple of our crew stopped at the memorial to pay our respects and have a beer. A police car pulled up alongside us and the gendarme asked us what we were doing. When we told him he also paid his respects, said thankyou, wished us well and drove off, a nice touch i thought.
