...at the start of the pits. Am I right in thinking there is some viewing at the top and will my Dunlop grandstand ticket get me in there?

Yes. Any main grandstand ticket will allow you access to the viewing area below the tower and on top - after 6.00pm on Sat. DB

Thanks for that (and your contrib. too Steve).
How do you get to that area? Is it worth it?

Just about opposite the 'poo bar - the ACO shop/cafe/enclosure. Is it worth it?
Definitely - great view right down the pit straight (& pit lane) and round towards the Dunlop Curve (sorry, chicane these days). Never miss going up there at least once during the race. DB

I'm not familiar with the "ACO shop/cafe/enclosure " I normally go to the shop on the outside of the circuit, in the main admin building. I thought the 'poo bar was at the top (i.e post pits) end of the village.
Sorry to be dim.
Does the tower viewing get busy?

Sorry Spritey - just re-read your first post.
I don't know of any public viewing area in the control tower at the start of the pits. I was referring to the old ACO tower at the end of the pits. So it's me that's a bit dim, not you!

I think you can be forgiven DelBoy, especially taking into consideration the the amount of years since you started going. 40 years, must be you buying the first round in the poo bar

Ahhh, that makes sense. Maybe I misunderstood a post last year. I'll check the Old ACO Tower out.
