Hello everyone - been absent for ages due to work and the rest of things.

Alas, due to lack of getting things sorted we are in BSJ this year, but at least we'll have a decent motorhome this time around.

Had a search of this site and had a look at the photos. Does anyone know if there are any available water standpipes in BSJ?

Our advance party (me included) will be arriving Monday afternoon. Please feel free to pop in for a cold one.

we're in the same field too - actually there are two fields.  Stand pipes run adjacent to the very dusty "road"

A query re the standpipes...

What fitting would a regular standpipe need?

I'm guessing it won't be the same as the one my hose is attached to here, but does anyone know for sure, so I can get the bits here? (JP, otherwise I will borrow yours - but as you are arriving late I don't want to wait till Monday night to fill the pool) Smiley

Yeah but's that to grip the hose onto the bit you screw onto the tap. I need to know about that bit - thread, size etc - don't I?

What a kind man you are JPC, despite what everyone says. That would be ideal, thank you. Smiley

I don't want you stuffing the hose full of funny (and illegal) substances though!!!

You're not coming to the Plough tomorrow though...so we'll arrange to meet somewhere sometime.

Despite what was said about feet and inches yesterday, I think you'll find the thread on the tap is 1/2 BSP(British Standard Pipe Thread)  So just buy a normal tap connector in B&Q.  Well ours fits.

I hadn't thought of that!!  At least you wouldn't look guilty as you go through customs if you don't know that anything is there!!

I need to get the MB tickets from you as well, so maybe one day between PQ's and when you leave on Sunday morning!
