Hey,

I am very new to this site so please bare with me, but I love the friendly atmosphere Smiley

I am despretely after some camping for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday night of the LeMans weekend. I am new to the race and have always wanted to go but I really under-estimated the popularity Sad

Its for myself and 2 others (3 in total) and I dont care where the camping is as long as there is a toilet!

Hope someone know of something, somewhere Smiley

Many thanks,

Dan.

Hi Dan

How are you getting there?? Assuming you are going in one car, you will need one camping pass!

You will be abel to go to one fot he car parks to park your car on the day, and pay a supplemet to park in the Biouac area, so no real panic as yet if you don't mind where you camp. If you want a specific site then your best bet is to kepe an eye on this part of the forum.

There is always "that auction site" as well, but at the moment prices are still pretty silly over on there! Watch it during the last week though and I'd wager that things will get a bit more sensible!

Whether you get a specific camping pass from there or here, or just park i the car park and camp there, the important thing is to make sure you get there! And be warned, once you've been once, you'll be back again and again!!!

Hehe Cheers Smiley

I have always wanted to go but while I was at uni, money didn't permit Sad. I have got 2 mates to come with me this year and going to nick my dad's company car to put the miles on Tongue (not the S2000 this year lol).

I am a bit nervous about just turning up so will there still be spaces availible on Friday? I won't get there late, I will travel through Thurday night if I have too.

Cheers,

Dan.

Worst case scenario will be that you use the car park and pitch the tent next to it in the bivouac area. A lot of people go to the ACO office on arrival at the Rotund (near Expo) and purchase a returned ticket at face value.

If you don't mind which camp site you stay on, try the ACO directly (www.lemans.org) and see if they have any Technoparc or Beausejour tickets left. They are a bit further away than the more popular sites, but at least you'll have a confirmed ticket in advance. Don't worry about Genera; Admission tickets, you can get them on the gate for 59 Euros (unlimited so they never run out!!)

Make sure you visit the Champagne Bar for the CA get together on the Saturday night at 9.00pm!!

19 days? Wow!

Not quite stretching to that this year but I want to take the S2000 next year so might make the week of it Smiley.

I just hope I can work somewhere out to stay or take the plunge and just turn up.

Up untill a few years ago I NEVER pre booked anything.  I just turned up and bought Tickets on arrival.  I probably wouldn't bother these days but I have a friend that gets the tickets for me.

So (sorry for being a little nervous but not done this before!  Embarrassed) if I turn up, is it easy to find the place that sells the camping tickets?

Well I think it is easy to find the place

Here is a map
it is on the Avenue Parc Des Expositions  or has been for years now.  I'm pretty sure it's open 24 hours a day.  You'll lneed to pan and zoom the map to work out how to get there.
There will be so many brits there you won't have any problems getting help if you get lost.  :-)
