Not this year, sadly, but I will next year, even if I have to go without the boy....

From my April 13th post

"Until yesterday, David and I were REALLY looking forward to our first Le Mans together.  I last went in 2000, but he's been asking me to take him with me since he was a nipper.  He's 11 and a half, and we've both been waiting years until me and his mum agreed he was old enough to cope with at least some of the tiredness, noise and hustle & bustle of the great 24 hours.

Needless to say, something has come up and we can't go."

Two CAers were kind enough to take my tickets off my hands, and I was really chuffed at the condolences.  Never mind, chin up and all that, there's always next year!

(btw, to the kind Gents concerned, I still haven't got the tickets, chaps, but I will email you as soon as they arrive).

Angry Angry  Oh, buggerbuggerbuggerbuggerbugger Angry Angry  And Harrumph!!

Tell me about it!!!!  looks now extremely unlikely that i can make it this year, and possibly for the first time on my own.
Was looking forward to the event this year without ties, ie wives 1 and 2, brother who was going through a messy divorce, friends who couldnt stand the pace, morrons on page and moy, the list goes on.
I will be thinking of you guys, as i well know what the deal is for the week plus!!!.  The up side is that my bank balance will stay healthier, but thats not an issue is it?
Suppose theres always satellite Cry

Next year will be different wont it?

Count me out unfortunately.  Went fairly regularly between 1996 and 2003 but the purchase of a money funnel disguised as a house and the beating the almighty buck is taking against foreign currencies has made it not do-able these past couple of years.  Next year hopefully.  I'll have to leave it up to my Harper family friends and our Sebring CA buds to knock back a brew or two (or forty) for me.

I'm sure we can manage that for you John!!

Just make sure you try to put a few bucks away this year so that you can double it up next year to make sure you can come over!!

Hopefully see you in Atlanta to make up for it!
