I see many people saying that book camping tickets 1 year in advance. How do I go about this, and can it be done at the circuit this year?

Maybe next year I will not be forced to scoure the Sell & Swap board every day for spare tickets!!

Thanks

While you are there this year go to the ACO office, get a form and you can complete and hand in . Takes about 5 minutes.

Do I pay when I put the form in, and where is the AOC office?

Thanks

Once you have given in the form you will get a letter about September time asking you to reconfirm your order. About December you will be notified of your allocation and given two weeks to pay. When you see the transactoin on your credit card statement it is all systems go. All you have then is a long wait until they get their arses in gear and post the tickets off to you

So should I re-phrase the question.

How do you book camping tickets 18 months in advance?

Photocopy a spare orderform, change the date on the top to suit the year and send it off 18 months in advance. There may be other methods for the computer literate but I have been using the same photcopies since 1999 and it has been accepted every time, as long as you remember to change the date.
I think it was Smokie who mentioned something about a preferential customer list but I don't know how you go about getting on it as I have never failed to get tickets by using the tried and tested photocopy method.

I use the same "old order form" method mentioned by BOB U (the "year" space on the form looks like a relief map of the polar ice cap there are so many layers of tip-ex).  However, my variation is that I fax it over fairly late, then start to panic when I dont get any quick reply from ACO then supplementing it with an appeal on the CA sale/swap board, sweaty palms and running round like a headless chicken till either the sale/swap or ACO comes up trumps.   Cheesy

This method has worked for me for the last 10 years - it seems to combine excitement and reliability.

The ACO office I was referring to is at the front (west side) of the ACO stand, not on Expo

That sounds like less of a stagger. I will try there first.
Thanks Barry

Word of warning, the excellent tradition of French lunch time is still alive and well. Probably best not to go there between 12 and 2.
