Used this site for the last 5 or so years and will be on there again this year.
The site has showers and loos in 3 or 4 locations. Avoid the lake area, it looks nice camping pond side so to speak, but in heavy rain will flood and the midges are hell.
Good atmosphere on site and an easy walk to Tetre Rouge and the Village.
The other big plus is when you want to go to the hypermarket, you don't get stuck in the traffic that builds up on the Mulsanne or round by the main entrace in the days before the race.

Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better. H S Thompson 1937 - 2005

One thing to add to what Nordic said.
Try to pitch your tents away from the access roads, the dust can be pretty bad with all the traffic movements.
Lock anything of any value in vehicles when you are away, the pikeys are thieving bastards, but I suppose this applies to all sites.

Good site close to the track etc. Try not to get there later than Thursday as it gets busy these days.
Try to get a pitch on the higher bits as well because if it rains the site turns into a bit of a mudbath.

Couple of other points. If New Year falls in the same year as Xmas and the wednesday of race week follows a tuesday, you'll bound to have a great time.
