No they're not........that's why we're arriving on Monday morning  Grin (Or at least I think not!!)

If you can take enough provisions (beer) to see you through Sunday you can always catch a lift with us on Monday in the van if you don't wnat to move the motorhome!

You can always get some beer in a petrol station - but beware that not all of these are open on Sundays either (or they use the French Banco (??) system to pay, which is useless for us)

There is always one smart arse isn't there! SMOKIE

Thanks for the offer JP will probably end up taking you up on the offer.

Airtrack say there is not enough room on the boat for us to tow the car down!!

Really hoping to have the car with us but it is looking unlikely at the moment!

Small supermarkets - NOT hypermarkets - are open on Sunday mornings.
What is your route and timing?

Hi Rick, if in need for a cold lager only, we'll be arriving at MB on the 12th around nine-ish (PM) and will have plenty of 0,5 litre cold (cheap Aldi-)beercans on us. Might be a little too early to dig out the draft machine and open up a barrel Wink
Just look out for this thing>>

By the way, my dad (who lives in France) told me last Sunday on the way to Le Mans that all small shops are open on sunday untill noon, like Kpy mentioned aswell.
If you really are desperate, why not get some on the ferry? Huh

We'll be there, with the freezer hopefully still frozen Wink

Chilling the beer will be no problem on the way down as we will have four fridges running on the way so that they are all cold for arrival. Several crates are always chilled on the way down so our first is COLD. If airtrack can't fit our trailer on then the additional car will be staying at home. The motorhome has to stay on site from arrival really as when they get to this size they are a pain in the arse to move!
we can make do until Monday and then as JPChenet said he will assist us with transport for shopping as need be.

Plan to arrive on circuit at about 1330 on Sunday 12th.

Not making any promises here, but I might be bringing my motorbike with side panniers if room left in the lorry (and I get the bloody thing to start again). Basicly speaking we have the same problem vehicle-size-wise the first day, but I don't mind driving by McD Sunday night and live on just a coffee on first part of Monday.
We'll definitely be bringing pushbikes, so the Arnage-Supermarchι should be a maximum of a 15 minute peddle away.

You're right.

Only supermarkets and not megastores are open on sundays, often only from 9 am to 1 pm.

After you only have petrol stations with beer more expensive than petrol !!!  Wink
