I'm glad I'm not the only one cursing my luck Steve... Only twice have I decided not to bother going to a meeting...
First time was the first 4 Second time was this..
At least I didn't miss Kim Reymonds 4.8 or Barry's 300..
Roll on The Main Event
PS: John Webster ran his first 4 at the Thunderball as well.

Sickening isn't it. I missed Sheavils blow over but managed to see all the Andy Carter 4's in the UK last year.

I always got the feeling that he 'Took his ball home' When you consider the amount of money he makes out of running the Nitrolympics at Hockenheim he could come back with a pretty class act. Last I heard he was building a 2 seat T/F car for passenger rides at Hockenheim.
Was that your own photo of Rico?

Another good weekend outing this year if you get the chance is the Britcar. I was up at Silverstone on Saturday and the racing was thoroughly enjoyable. A bit disappointed that a few of the rumoured entries didn't show, but still good fun racing.

Sh*T, you feel old, I was at the Pod in the late 70's when the Houndog Funny (they also had a rail) car stood on end due to an incrroectly setup slipper clutch (if my memory serve me correctly).

Ian, Bootsie Herridge (of Houndog) also drove Gladiator in the 70's - here's one of my old photo's I've recently scanned of a great funny car from that era - a bit of nostalgia.

Those were the days Brad has just transfered a video of old Super 8 cine films, shot at Blackbush, Silverstone, Snetterton, and the Pod, on the his PC ready to burn a DVD - if it comes out OK we could start a distribution roundy roundy for anybody who's intersted?
