I thought it may be amusing to find out what each party have to drink following arrival. Not the beer you swill down at breakneck speed as you fall out of the car and kiss the earth, but the first one when you all settle down, tents are up, music is on, BBQ is being thought about, you get the picture.

For us its arrive at Houx, get the tents up, then off to Carrefour to stock up.

Then first drink is

Long glass - Champagne (half of the glass) Vodka, Red Bull and top it all off with Carlsberg Special Brew.  Its absolutely gorgeous.  Needless to say we don't have too many of these !!

After setting up and relaxing in a chair, it's about time to open up the second crate ice cold from the fridge running on the way down  Grin

Forgot to mention that this particular blend is called a Special Vodka Red Champ.

It travels to LM in its own cool box.  Special Brew and Red Bull are frozen the day before we travel.  Vodka and Champ sit a the fridge. The last thing I do before departiing to LM is to load the cool box, i.e. wrap the champ in a frozen ice blanket and pack ice blocks around the remainder.

By the time we get to LM the Specil brew and Red Bull have defrosted but are still ice cold.  Works a treat.

Oh nearly forgot the scotch eggs that get scoffed at the same time !

Don't mind what it is as long as it's a large one Grin

It ussually takes a lot more than one large drink to take away the shite taste of Red Bull that has kept me awake on the overnight drive from Calais.

My first drink is always a nice cup of tea. It's the last one of the week too.

This year it will either be a TVR (Tequila Vodka and Redbull) or more likely a Tropicoma

You'll have to call by our village and try one at some stage!!

Beer, wine and whisky. Not all together and not necessary in that order.

One of life's mysteries this. Why is it always "a nice cup of tea"? On tv in the media and even on this thread it is always a nice cup of tea, never just a cup of tea or a bog standard cup of tea.Or are all cups of tea nice?,I don't know, I never touch the stuff
