Just had this through. Makes my £350 seem a bit limp and deflated now.
Good to see a bit more competition this year though.

Big H ,
Where do you book these deals though, just tried Hoverspeed.co.uk and it came back way more than £35 for the 5 day duration for Le Mans

Please let me know asap as I have a friend that may wish to book before the end of Feb

Did you try www.speedferries.com Chris?

I just booked for this weekend (heading for Frankfurt again tomorrow - daytime temp is about 20 F!) and it was £70 return. I thought that was their price throughout the year. (It used to be £50).

They are like Easyjet, the later you book, the higher the price, if they are getting booked up. You must have picked at least one nearly full ferry. It's still a bargain!

How large is it?
Speedferries take small ones. Otherwise Norfolkline.

6M long x 3M high.
Norfolk is a bloody long way from me (unless i'm being stupid and they sail from Dover)
Portsmouth is ideal for me, but dover will do if it's better priced.

Speedferries limit is 2.90 m x 7.00 m, so seems you're 10 cm out.
Norfolk line http://travel.norfolkline.com/
operates Dover - Dunkerque - not much further than Calais . You can probably get a deal with them for under 200 quid for LM week. As for travelling via Portsmouth cheaply, try Brittany ferries via Caen. Depends on how far you are from Portsmouth or Dover.
Have fun - and see you at LM.

I'm going Norfolkline this year, they were much cheaper than the rest - even for the short crossing. £180 for car & caravan. Next cheapest was P&O Dover - Calais at £320 (£210 last year!)

If the limits 2.90metre high, you could always let the air out of the tyres ! LOL

You could also try Transmanche ferries. They sail Newhaven -Dieppe and are quite cheap

and even though it's run by a family of gypsies it I've travelled 5 or 6 times in the last year and found them perfectly adequate.
Rumours of a refit should get rid of the distinctive 70's porno set of a cafeteria!
