1. the symbols change so you think it is guessing all the time.
2. If you subtract off like it tells you to, there are only certain numbers it can be e.g 81, 9, 72, 54, 18 - its the nine times table by golly
it will always be right, try just choosing a number at random that isn't in the nine times table. Bet you it don't get it.

It's curious that by adding your two digits then subtracting that from the number, you always end up with a number that's a multiple of 9. There's probably a reason too for that but who cares really?
