i have a warm feeling about BJS this year. As long as you have bikes, this will be a good site.

Going to miss the Drinking for Holland lot, had a particualy wierd conversation with two of them on a small (ish) mound of earth on the inside of the Porshe Curves about Henicken beer not being brewed in the UK anymore. Well at least I think that was the gist of it.
Please do come over to MB if you have the time for another one of those cold draft beers, Bobblehat Smiley
I hope for you guys that earth-bump at the Porsche Curve will still be there, but fear the worst as that construction-work might be finished by now. Maybe it's worth for you guys to try and bring a small ladder to get on the roofs of the buildings completed. Especially during Wednesday and Thursday eavening you might stand a big chance getting away with it... Good luck & have fun!

No mate, you shouldn't worry.
Have another look at the map I posted. The spectators side of the Porsche Curve you will find on the left hand side of the track, on the very bottom of the map I posted. This section is a sort of elevated slopy-grass bump and is okay for viewing (general entrance tickets required). Bring seats and food/drinks as there are barely any facilities there.
The section I was referring to is the white spot between the actual track and the green square called BSJ. On that spot there was some sort of building ground last year, pretty obvious they were gonna build something there. It's also on that spot where there was an earthy-bump which gave a sort of an okay view, especially in the eavenings. We were allowed up to the guard rail during the yellow-flag situation when McNish and Letho crashed there last year Cool

Sounds like a fine idea - add to list step ladder (I never new my real ladder  Roll Eyes ) - but I would guess, like the rest of the track, the roofs will coverd in razor wire and the like. As for the beer, a cold would go down a treat! See you there

I think Rhino is right, its going to be a good year down on BSJ..........................

I venture to suggest it won't. We're due a rainy LM. So I predict it wil be cold, wet and very windy.

Bloody pessimist.  I'll continue running the 6.6 litre engine at full chat to help with global warming.

However, I probably agree with you Undecided

More than welcome mate Grin

We're more or less planning to stay somewhere in the region of the circle, hopefully not too much getting in the way of the regular visitors...

A bit of rain could come in handy if you are situated near the dusty track...

Paddy - greetings from all at Beermountain! I saw the red circle on your map - just checking you know that there is a small earth bank down there for spectating from - some groups build behind it and I think the view is good - it's about c4m high?

If you are, it's great news for us because we camp at the other end of that track in the direction of the grandstands, and I thought I would have to move this year as we would not be able to see anything behind your tower! Anyway see you there, and I'll pack earplugs just in case!

Is that 4 meters high? If so, I think we will plan for another location. Our scaffolding will be about 2,5 meters high, so we need a space with a clear line of sight to the track. Either that or we need to build a higher grandstand!
