Sounds very promising!!

At least there will be two manufacturers with front running prototypes, I wonder if Audi are gonna go with a diesel engine in the R9 now??

But I guess with an LMP2 as well it'll turn round to being a Porsche race again

Last weeks Autosport had a bit about Peugeot getting back into sportscars & Mazda were talking about coming back not so long ago

This is what happens when F1 goes bad!! Grin

I'd be a lot happier if the would 'could' wasn't in the headline...

Anyway hope if Porsche do get back to LM they have a quiet running engine, we don't want you putting sugar in there as well now do we Roll Eyes

The reason they pulled out of racing, was to free up the budget to develop the Cayenne. Now that that is done and its selling well, then there no reason they can't come back to racing again !

So Porsche are back next year.
And so would BMW according to rumors.
And so should Maserati if they sort their problem out.
And I still believe and hope Ford should put their GT43 in there aswell, as the AM is more a ProDrive-project.

Hmm, nice ingredients for the '06-race Grin

When I see a Cayenne I'm usually tempted to put brown sugar in the fuel tank....
I wouldn't hold my breath on Porsche returning as a factory team.

According to reports, Audi are going to pull out but return in the guise of Skoda!

Guys,
I hate to sound like mr. doom & gloom but we've heard stories of Porsche coming back to Le Mans about every eight month's or so since 1998.  When I see something pounding around Weissach I'll believe it.
Until then, just wishful thinking.
