Is there at the track still available? We want to go for longer this year, instead of going by coach like the last few years...

Only 3 of us and a car likely, but do you know if it's still possible to get a spot?

If you apply to the ACO now you would almost definitely get something - probaby Beasejour, which many here would not find ideal, but it has to be better than a coach tour.

Camping ticket is per car so you only need one.  There is often availability on our Sell or Swap forum nearer the time or, if you want to pay over the odds, on certain auction sites (although last year there must have been something of a surplus, as tickets were going under face value at the last minute.

You can do what we do, and buy a parking ticket for Blue or bleu car park and then pay a suppliment (18 euros) when you get there and you can then camp at the back of the car park in a camping area. Alot nearer than the camping that Smokie has mentioned

What's Beausejour like then? It is actually on the track (well, not on it, but you know what I mean...) isn't it? I don't mind a bit of a walk, hehe.

It's just that a guy has a couple of places available there that he will sell to me if I can't sort something else out, will try the proper sites first, and try and get a decent self-drive.

It's my mate that we usually go with fault... he's so slow to decide, and by the time he makes his mind up we just have to get a coach... well not this year! Me and my other mate are going to get camping tickets, and if he doesn't want them he can make his own way there

Don't suppose you could give me the quick pros and cons of each campsite, or give me a link could you? Then when I find out what is and isn't available I can make a decision based on your advice. Cheers!

Mike, I believe that MB, is the place to stay it is track side between the Porshe curves and the Ford S's. It is only a short walk from the main straight and all that goes with that. The only down side is that you would be living and drinking with most of this forum for the duration of your stay.

Yeah we went in there last year (well this year still), and it looked good. If I can get tickets I would.

I camped at BJ last year, and frankly it was crap. No atmos, and a long walk. Try for Houx or Houx Annexe if possible.

Maison Blanche seems to be the campsite of choice of many Club Arnage members, but there are also many who prefer other sites, or have a long standing tradition. The other most favoured ones (in no particular order) seem to be:

Karting Nord
Bleu
Houx (especially if you have something more exotic than a tent)
Houx Annexe

but most other sites also have their fans.  Beasehour has maybe the worst reputation, not least because it is a long way from teh action. However it is relatively new and I believe facilities there have improved each year so far. Some people have reported having a great time there.

As I see them the advantages of Beausejour:
1) Available even at the last minute
2) Close to the Porsche Curves which is a great spectator spot.
3) Convenient to Arnage Village (car or bike)
Better than not camping.

Hey I agree with Brian about MB but it's obviously the company you keep just like mom said.  I went last year for the first time and it couldn't have been better.  Lots of CAer's around and that's what made it for me.  But you know, it's all a state of mind, so I would bet that you could have a good time most anywhere.  If a good time is not happening, make it happen!!!!

Improvement works will start early february 2005 to beausejour, Porsche??? and tertre rouge campsite.

They deal with wiring and maybe setup of water supply and showers and blocks !!!

I think I'll stick to the bottled water, French water does strange things to me after a couple days...

Anyway, I should get some sort of campsite sorted tomorrow.

Been on BSJ the last coupe of years, bought tickets on day of arrival with no problem at all.
Like already mentioned good viewing for Porsche curves and visits to Arnage.

Would advise some form of bicycle to get about on though unless you like walking.

Site can be reasonably quiet compared to others, ideal for families.

come to the worst you can pitch a tent at the bacvk of car park blue, no bogs (Dont eat sweetcorn!) or showers but a great crew,Camping Blue is good position and facilities - first time we realiny felt the comaradary of the LM crowd, Karting Nord, last year was good, easy access good facilities, hoping to get last miniute spares deal on MB next year but CB, KN, MB,Houx, will be good  - Beasousrdor is a bit far out for the walk to the start.
Just be there.
