As mentioned, ice is available on the midway, but be prepared to part with a limb for a big bag of ice though. Well compared to what you can get it at the supermarket for, anyway. Best to stop at the Supermarket on Wednesday in Sebring and buy a load to sort you out through Thursday night at least.
Would be a good idea to bring the extra tent, as its better to have it available and not need it than to need it and not have it with you.

Hi John, A folding table would be useful if you have one. If I recall you are in Texas? How far/long a drive is it? Canada Phil

It's about 1100 miles one way. I live 100 miles east of Dallas and will be picking up my friend in Laurel Mississippi. It's about 400 miles to his house and another 694 miles to Sebring from there. We are bringing a small folding table, four chairs, an extra tent and sleeping bag, and a couple of ice chests and 4 dozen beads. and guys, don't forget to bring sunscreen, fire ant poison, and skeeter spray.

OK guys, this video should heat up the forum and show the non-attenders what they will be missing in 27 days. Turn up the speakers and enjoy the "music". http://gscdownloads.com/leh/sebring/GT3RSatSebring.wmv

Please don't fret about amenities like ice, food an beer, camping equipment, or anything else you might hanker for. This is the USA dammit. Unlike Le Mans (or Silverstone, Donny Park, Spa, etc) you are treated more like a customer than an inconvenience, so there's no need for anyone to get their knickers in a twist over ice. There is plenty of ice, I promise you. It's Florida for fucks sake.

Good work John! I decided that it might not be such a smart idea to take the new lads (JPC, Steve and Zarse) to the Sho-Boat, for fear of unpleasentness, so early in their American adventure. However, they will have arrived at the track by the time you get in, on Friday night, so I'll reserve your usual bar stool. Looking forward to seeing you at OIA - I'll be in Truckosaurus.

Matt, Gotta admit that I missed the "Boat" over Rolex weekend. Looking forward to putting back a few with you, Graham, Dave and the rest of the gang in that fine establishment. Smart move keeping the newbies out of there, thats the kind of place you have to work your up to, pure American hole-in-the-wall dive. You going to the 500 this weekend? After watching the qualifiers yesterday it should be a wild one. fax
