My son is at uni in Pompey, and his girlfriend is at uni in Warwick, to see each other at weekends involves 3 changes of train and hours of hanging about on stations. The answer is to have his car down there with him but the problem is that there are no parking facilities on campus and being a hard up student he can't afford public car parks. Any parking would need to be reasonably safe and preferebly as he would only use the car at weekends. I suppose this is aimed mainly at the SPS crew and any other locals but if anyone can offer any advice or help on this it would be greatly appreciated as it will stop hm whinging on the phone every couple of days.

Bob, the parking I cannot help with, but thinking laterally, wouldn't it be easier if he chucked the bird in Warwick and found one a bit closer to Pompey?

Andy, you only have to look at her to realise you don't chuck a bird that looks like her or you would be accused of either being blind, totally insane or gay.

BobU
I can reserve a space for her to park!
Wahaayyy, Bibble, where's me jam jar bottoms, sweetie hunky boy...

And unless she's an heiress to zillions, the lad should find someone a bit closer. I can recommend several specimens, what they lack in conversation they make up for in interesting infections and haircuts.
Can she play the suzaphone?

Bob

It might just be me, but as I drift into my forties, all girls of Uni age suddenly seem staggeringly attractive. Even the plug ugly ones.

When I was your son's age I went out for a short while with a bird who frankly was an absolute stunna. I packed her in cos her legs weren't quite right, I think they were about an inch short of what I'd have called utter perfection, oh and I wasn't into blondes at the time. What a twat! I'd sell my own mother for something like that these days. So you're proabably right, the lad's drive to Warwick is worth it, even if only to provide some happy memories when he gets to middle age.

I'm just off to the lavatory for a while.....

Andy Z

PS He'd be wise not to take up BigH's generous offer, necrotic epididimitis might be big but it ain't clever.

No. Don't try, unless you are a desciple of the late Jacque Derrida, whereby you can deconstruct the sentence and decide it means pretty much whatever you like, there being no fundamental meaning in words. In a post-modern sceptically nihilistical way obviously.
