Ok, so whos gonna be around at the track for practice on the Friday.
My plans have changed and it looks like I will be doing the billy no mates routine on the friday and driving down there to watch the practice sessions. So if anyone wants to meet me to provide some company, then get in touch. Thanks.
My general plan is arrive and watch practice, themn in the evening find somewhere to watch the super league game on Sky Sports at 8pm. Then head down to Luton and sleep in the car as I have to pick someone up from the airport at 8.40am before heading back to Silverstone again for the day.

We have some tape but won't be there untill 930ish saturday, subject to traffic. Suppose we'll have to look out for cars.
Silly question Peter, but are you bringing the Black & Tan?

Just had a flyer posted through the door telling me that Will Young will be blasting out his blandness at Stow, that will be the Stow at the bottom of Silverstone. so expect a lot of slow moving beige cars heading Silverstone way. Ohh and if you are looking for enternainment on Friday you could go and see David Cassidy Tongue

Anyone got any links to Silverstone for the weekend. Timetables and grids would be useful, it's surprising how little there is out there.
Who's camping and will there only be one campsite? Free grandstands?
Even Leviticus can't help...

Hi H

Provisional timetable on

http://www.silverstone-circuit.co.uk/PDF/lemans_prov_timetable.pdf

Can't find a grid list though

Tickets include roving grandstand and seats.

Bars open to 11pm, at the Paddock bite
BBQ from 7pm at the entertainment zone along with cover band from 8pm.

One campsite inside track I believe, not sure who will be on campsite, provisional list is:

Barry & Jo
Ferrari Spider
Lord Steve
Steve B
mgb1975
bgeorge104

Chris24?
TeamZarse?

Looks like Robbo's excellent t-shirts will come in usefull again for recognition purposes

Hope this helps

Thanks for that Barry!
I'll keep an eye out for some CA shirts on the infield campsite then. If you see an old jag and a pair of reeking stringbacks on Saturday morning, then it's probably me.

Ahhaaah!

http://www.planetlemans.com/images/stories/PLM_PDFs/Pre%20entry%20List%201000%20km%20of%20Silverstone2.pdf

These are the entries for Saturday, courtesy of Sander van Dykes' excellent planetlemans.com.

Looks like a good grid to me, I'll give the Saleens 2 hours before they starts heading towards the aforementioned Buster Keaton scenario. It'll be good to hear a Viper again as well, although I can't imagine it'll be that competitive, the no. 61 Ferrari takes my money for that race.

Will it be McNish or Herbert then?
