Urban Myth

does TVR stand for Trevor?  Some bloke at a car broker who supplies our cars said it did, he says that it is the chap who designed the first one,

It's no myth.  Trevor Wilkinson starting building cars in 1947 when he built a sports special on an Alvis chassis.  He then went on to build his own chassis in 1949 and continued into the 60's using tubular frames and mainly engines from Ford, BMC and MG.

The company was taken over by Martin Lilley in 1965 and then in 1982 by Peter Wheeler.

I have a feeling most Brits will say TVR, this is because as a nation, we dont seem that interetsed in American Sportscars. We have a potentially mis-construed idea they dont handle.

What must be said - They are both Beasts, who sup the juice like Dracula on Haloween.

But, i would prefer a TVR Tuscan 2 , or Cerbera 4.5

A Cerbera would do the job for me but a V8 please. Unfortunately,  it's not easy to get hold of one over here. That's why I have a 3000M instead. So, you see, it's not only the Brits who love the TreVoRs. Congratulations Steve, very good history knowledge.
