Guys
Just about to book my ticket online but I thought I'd see if any Club Arnagers are going before I do so.
The website www.goodwood.co.uk is good but there's not a lot about camping.

Anyone fancy a mass Le Mans stylie get together on the Friday / Saturday nights and see if we can find a campsite nearby?HuhHuhHuh

I will be going but only on Sunday, there are plenty of beer tents, one of which could be picked for a lunch time meet if anybody is interested.

Gilles

I've had a change of plan - Goodwood looks a bit complicated. A few of us are going to Silverstone instead for the LMES race on Saturday 14th August and staying on the circuit campsite.

Check it out at www.silverstone-circuit.co.uk

You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

Steve, what's the campsite like (eh, at Silverstone that is) ? I'm thinking of camping or booking a hotel. With more and more people camping I'm tempted to camp too. What does it cost, how are the facilities, is there a beer bar open nearby (in crawling distance) on saturday night ?  Grin

I don't care - I'm a racing driver and I'm here to win, not to finish third.

If anyone finds themselves in the Goodwood area on the 25th or 26th Aug, these are the dates for the free testing for the Revival.

I've never camped at Silverstone but the organisers tell me that the campsite will be inner cuircuit and that there will be bar and food facilities on hand together with entertainment ( a band) on the campsite for the saturday night. There are toilets but they didn't know if showers would be available.

My weekend (Saturday & Sunday) ticket cost £18 plus £5 for a camping pass. Cracking good value methinks.

Have a look on the website but to book your tickets give them a ring - booking online is useless.

Hope to see you there!

For all the cobra fans, it is confirmed that two of the original Shelby American Cobra Daytonas will be persuaded to race for the first time in Europe since the 1960s, along with the unique Willment Cobra Coupe at the goodwood meeting.

Also racing will be Jaguar E-type Lightweight, Ferrari 250 GT SWB, GTO and 330 LMB, Std (!) AC Cobra, Aston Martin Project car & corvettes.
