It appears every year that the ACO say they are going to clamp down on people camping in the car parks, and every year they appear not to.

With the lack of camping spaces available why don't they officially turn some of the car parks in to campsites, hence raising more money for themselves?

I know a chap taking his Range Rover (is an old one - chap and Rnage Rover), and he is planning to kip in the car in the car park.  He did ask my advice, and I told him, better to get a campsite pass, but he wouldnt have it.

Sounds like he wont have any problems

You have to be careful camping in the car park's. The only year i camped in one we had 2 Johnny Haliday fans camped next to us. They insisted on playing his cd's to us.
After a few beers we had insulted them so much they turned it down. I mean they even had tatoos of him on their arms!
I never camp in the car park now, to risky. You could be next to them..

We've camped in the car park for the last 3 years. I agree, it's probably not ideal, but there's no probalem doing it. And for 16 Euros it's a bargain.
