There don't appear to be many discussion items on Karting Nord. Does this mean it's not one of the better sites? Do I need to be concerned at all?? Arriving there 9am (ish) on Friday.
Thanks

It's OK as a site, relatively central for the circuit, and in fact I wouldn;t mind going back there one year.

We'll be there........ Its meant to be a pretty good site - the word is that best bet is to camp near the Brethren. We will be tipping up on Thursday afternoon - and trying to grab a spot near the Brethren, and near a tap - look out for us - MGF Trophy 160 with Rhino Racing stickers box on the back - two fat blokes and a bald bloke on a motorbike !! Come and have a beer with us - cant guarantee that it will be cold though Enjoyyyyyyyyy 1 1/2 work days to go.......AVE IT!!

Forecasts now seem to be agreeing that apart from Thursday, when there could be thunderstorms, the rest of the week should be sunny spells, temps 23-25 C

Stu,
Team Cannonball are on Karting Nord, we were there last year and it was great fun. Close to the Karting track where Audi were giving rides in there RS cars with trained rally drivers at the wheel (until they broke it). We are pitching up sometime bout 5 ish on the Thursday, we are looking to camp near fellow CA'ers. Look out for the Red Seat Toledo V5 sporting both Scotland and England flags. Also the green mini moto if Stu - the driver will let me fit it in.

Jay - I suggest we all aim for the area surrounding the Brethren - that way none of us will be that far away from each other - if you find a spot betwen the Brethren and the nearest tap, that should be around where we are!! Distinguishing features include: Beer bellies (nothing distinctive about that at Le-Mans) Reading FC Football shirt England flag with a huge 88 in the middle Blue MGF Trophy 160 Its hard to introduce yourself when you dont know if a person is who you think they are - but please do - we are all in the spirit of things, so we would never tell you to get lost !! Brad (wondering if Carrefour will have a suitable super soaker....)

May I suggest a little Pre - Race reading - search for "mad friday" and "brethren" in thread search facility - this may help. Otherwise, come prepared for waterfights, big smelly french bus drivers getting off thier buses and chasing you, and lots of maniac englishmen pulling burnouts......... YOU'RE GONNA LOVE IT!!!! P.S. - Filling your super soaker with Piss, or Beer - is NOT funny......

Worry not - been on it for the last 3 or 4 years - it's a great site, good atmoshpere etc. The Brethren are easy to find - lots of friendly guys in black T-shirts looking dead hard, with a plentiful and glorious mix of Ducatis and Triumph triples. You will find out the significance of the Brethren in due course. All the best and enjoy,

We will be at Karting Nord as well. I have been on several camping’s in the Inner track area. Karting Nord has a nice atmosphere. On Houx they are more drunk and is very rumourus at night (Fireworks). We met with serious accident a couple of years ago (With our Range Rover) and will not go there anymore. Expo is (to) quit. At Karting there are always large groups of Danish people. It is at the track side so you can view the cars on the camping passing by.
We will travel with A VW Touran 2.0 FSI (Dutch Reg. no.) With 5 blokes. One is a Virgin Le Mans visitor the others have been there before.
We are looking for a nice full English breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. We can swap for Heineken. Or tell us what to bring with us to make a proper one!
