I think it is stating that

Less than 40km/h over the limit and you get a 90 Euro fine.

More than 40Km/h you get a 135 Euro fine, you driving license is taken and you are banned from driving away from the offence plus points on your UK License.

More than 50Km/h you get a 750 Euro fine, you driving license is taken and you are banned from driving away from the offence plus points on your UK License.

You are required to pay all these fines on the spot or will be taken to a cash machine.

40 Km/h is about 27mph.

"fiche immobilisation (eventuellement)"

Bablefish brings that line out at

card-index immobilization (possibly).

Not sure what they mean by that other than maybe they take credit card.

plus points on your UK License.

I don't believe that they have the facilities to put points on UK licences yet, although some gravy train MEP's are discussing it.

Prehaps Kpy could give us a good English translation, please.

The euro points system is not in place yet.......and anyway it would appear that it is only the French who want this legislation enforced within EU countries.

If I remember correctly there is a euro summit next month for the relevent parties involved.

Going by your piece of paper though...........It is obviously ......"let's clobber the Brits again".......and as they say ce'le vie!!!!!

 Grin Grin Grin
Thanks for this info

I am soooo glad that Mr RS2 is now confined to his 50CC scooter all the way from Dol de Bretagne to Le Mans - at least that way we will not have any huge fines or the the voiture being imponded to deal with......

......however, that being said ( and I know he will read this!!)...........

I, MRS RS2 BABE will be driving said Audi RS2 down to Le Mans by myself......, deh, deh, duuuuuuur!

I rest my case

Kiss Kiss Kiss

look, have I ever had an accident that has been my fault? Tongue Tongue

luv ya

are you ready to finish work yet - I still need to get some of the ingrediants for the fabutastic Thai Green Curry I am making for the Liverpool Boys on Wednesday night.

I will be around the back in 10 mins - just have to finish a very important offshore-onshore-offshore transaction with a Russian client.

No points on Your License for French speeding.

If you get put in the clink, demand that the British Embassy are informed - Its your legal right.
