Hi,

I know this has been asked before, but I can't find the thread anywhere (not even down the side of the sofa. There were other threads...)

Does anyone know where I can buy a decent, tiny FM radio, preferably with a lanyard and at least one preset?

The lanyard's for me neck (I may have the radio for the finish).
The preset helps me listen when drunk(or else I'd spend 24hrs listening to Radio Alencon).

I know Sony do one, but £69 is a fair few bouteilles de champagne, so that's not an option.

On the other hand I could just turn up at the circuit and buy one of those hated blue/grey pieces of nonsense that seem to be multiplying in my cupboard.....

Cheers,

Ali

I have a little walkman style FM radio with digital tuning.  I bought it about 5 years ago and it's permanently tuned to RLM.
It gives better reception than the cheapo ones (can pick up RLM at Mulsanne Corner)

£24 at Argos http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=1751&productId=83739&Trail=C$cip=12724>C$cip=12782>C$cip=12786&categoryId=12786

Definitely on the right track, but I'm thinking of something about the size of a lighter so I don't end up walking around with my forehead scraping the floor....

Thanks for taking the time to get the link though.  Smiley

You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

99 Euros bought me a MP3 player including radio and 256 MB memory a couple of weeks ago. So, I'm not only able to listen to RLM but also can record the sounds of LM. The receiption is also quite ok, it should be usable at Mulsanne.

I've used a number of cheap radios in the past.  I just tune it in and then put a piece of tape over the turner so that it doesn't move.

That works for me.

Yes - approximately two.

That's what I've bought for the last 8 years..... 'orrible (not so-)little things....

It's an ambition of mine to progress from these to a 'real' radio!

The Radio lemans shack were selling small radios in their package last year.
