Hi all, new to the site & LM.

As there is nothing happening on the Friday, just pit walk and drivers parade, is the track open to the public to drive round? If so, does it cost much/free?

Thanks

Over half of the track is public road anyway, and will be open for business on Friday (until early Sat I believe). You get to drive the Mulsanne straight (but the chicanes will be fenced off), round Mulsanne corner towards Indianapolis, then past the White House to just below the Porsche curves.

You don't get to drive the pit straight, Dunlop chicance and up to Tetre Rouge. (Check the maps in the Help section for more detail)

Don't go speeding though, le flics are usually in strong attendance.

The stretch between Mulsanne and Arnage corners was closed by the plod for the Friday afternoon last year.  So we had to restict our 'playing' to the bit between Arnage and the Porsche curves.

Steve i am led to believe the road was closed due to a Ferrari driving man broke his car at Indy quite spectacular like ....

Anyone know different ?
