Don't worry I have no intention in taking LOX with me. However I am interested in knowing the ferry companies view on NOS (nitrous oxide). I have a mini moto and I have found a way to convert it to NOS on the internet. However I'm not sure if I want a 50 cc home made NOS powered engine between my legs (the bike only ways 19 kilos) and also I not sure if the ferry company frowns on canisters of compressed gas. Although all those motorhomes must have some gas cylinders on board.

Thoughts please,

Jay

... something like this

http://www.netcom5.com/x-tremescooters/X-Treme_Bad_Ass_Nitrous_Afterburner.htm

Listed as an optional extra is:

'Nitrous Mask Install the Nirous mask kit and you can hit on the tank the same time you engine does.'  Cheesy

Great site.   http://www.messer.co.uk/  I see that they can also supply LOX   (see Bulk Gases.)   I'm gonna call them monday to see if they will deliver to the Campsites.   Or may be they can put us in touch with a French counterpart.

How many want Dry Ice and how many want LOX?   I'm sure if we get enough of us we can get a discount.  I guess we'll need daily delivery of LOX unless anyone has a large but portable presurised cryogenic container.

I can see it now the latest saturn five firework rocket not placed quite upright by pisshead.
Said rocket launches across campsite straight into LOX barbecue.
Explosion occurs with resultant mushroom cloud growing larger.
Cue small nitro powered mini moto screaming away to escape the fireball.

Nice vision there Rhino.

If you are serious about getting LOX then a high quality thermos flask will double up nicely as cryogenic carrier. However the proper vessel for liquid gases is called a Dewar  flask and I can borrow some for the weekend (may'be). Although I really hope you aren't (serious that is).

Is that NOS scooter for real. NOS mask for the rider?HuhHuh??

The site I saw to modify the mini moto claims the hp is multiplied by 5, the bike already does somewhere in the region of 35 mph. Which when you have your foot an inch from the ground feels, like you are caning it. Not sure about the NOS, too worried about my bollox. However seen a kit which increases the air intake, and petrol lines, increase in power by 20% apparently. Might be safer.

Gibberish chill out a bit. Cool  Motor Racing is dangerous anyway.  We're just uping the anti a bit.    CannonBall is it liquid nitrogen that you can dip a nice bouncey rubber ball in and it changes in to a very brittle substance that if you try to bounce it, it just shatters?   May be we can get some of that too.   Grin

One of my friends gave me the reciepe for CO2 grenades.  Apparently they are all the rage with the F1 Teams.  Anyone intrested in how to  PM me.

Does anyone know how to make a Cat bark like a dog?

Yeah that will be liquid nitrogen that does that to rubber balls. Liquid Nitrogen is usually at 77 Kelvin which is mighty chilly. (Room temp is at 298 Kelvin, 1 deg C = 1 K).

An interesting thing I saw done once, was to take a rubber mould, pour some wine in it, add a stick, dip in liquid N2, shatter the rubber. Voila, instant wine ice lollies.

It would work equally as well for vodka, whisky. The ability to completely freeze alcohol.

How does one make a cat bark like a dog. Does it involve a firework?
