This is probably stupid, but what the heck.
Is there a certain part of Arnage that good to be at on the friday evening? I usually hang about with a few beers  Roll Eyes  on the roundabout just outside Houx Annexe, Always seems to be a laugh, but i read that quite a few seem to visit Arage, so what goes on? and how easy is it to get there as we'll be in a motorhome, that dare not be moved on friday for fear of never getting a space back.

It's easy to get to if you have a car.   Though parking might be a bit tricky.  I'd say it's too far to walk.  Plus if your all walking you most likely be too P*ssed to find your way back.   I have on occasions gone to Arnage for a meal on the Friday night.    I've always seen that as the major drawback to Motorhomes and the like.  You leave your spot and somebody nicks it.  At least with a tent they are not quite so likely to take it down.   But I have found people have set up their tent under my Gazebo before now.

I have walked a few times although it is far (about 1 Hour) a few beers soon makes the walk seem shorter. Arnage last year was not to be missed there was some street racing and of course COLD beer on tap. Have a look at the downloads section on www.24-lemans.com there is a video of the 1000BHP TVR leaving rubber behind.

I've walked to Arnage a few times as well (From Houx).
Its worth the walk there but I'd get a taxi back.

However the road to Arnage from the Porsche curves is not wide and frequented by fast cars (none of whom would give me a lift).

Definetly worth the effort if you are in BJ or Bleu as these are the closest sites.

Unfortunatly (for this night out anyway) i'm in Houx Annexe, so it would seem a bit of a trek  Cry Cry

Lift anyone??  Tongue

Maybe a push bike on the back of the motorhome, if its at all possible to cycle home when p155ed!  Lips Sealed

Good suggestion Redstu. walk up a good thirst and Taxi back. There is a cycle path that starts about 1/2 way to  Arnage. I agree a bicycle is good and the fast cars driven by pissed Englishmen are indeed a hazard. I find the French drivers much more considerate of the pedestrians and cyclists.

For those people walking from MB there is a small road that runs alongside Blue this runs right down to Arnage and had very little traffic on.
TO get to arnage just keep right at all the Y junctions and then at the T-Junction by arnage just turn left and walk in.

the village of arnage was great last year. i recommend going into le mans (if you can get a lift) for the driver's parade, getting pissed on expensive beer  Sad and then going to watch some racing in the village in the evening

i don't remember it being too far tho. i'd have said 30 mins max to walk
